Sweaty Hands, Be Gone: Meet the latest ATG® technology AD-APT®
Welcome back to Feature Friday! Today, we’re diving into hand protection — specifically, ATG®’s newest technology: AD-APT®. If you work with your hands every day, you know how crucial it is to have the right gloves.
Who are ATG®:
ATG® stands for Advanced Technology Glove, and what sets them apart from other glove manufacturers is how they develop the technologies first before incorporating them onto their line of gloves, rather than developing glove by glove.
ATG®’s technology centre around three core principles of Comfort, Performance, and Cleanliness. Some of the common ones you’ll find in the gloves we carry from ATG are CUTtech®, for cut-resistance without sacrificing comfort or dexterity, or ERGOtech®, which reduces hand fatigue by imitating the natural shape of your hand. One of their newer innovations is AD-APT®, ATG®’s cooling technology, said to feel 65% than regular gloves.
According to a survey done by ATG®, the number one priority for workers when buying gloves is comfort, with sweaty hands being the main culprit of why they take them off when working.
Sweating is our primary way of regulating heat. On average, our skin contains 155 sweat glands per square centimetre, but what makes sweaty hands problematic, is that our hands have 83% more sweat glands compared to the rest of our bodies. (200/cm2 on the back of our hands, and 370/cm2 on your palm)
How It Works:

In a nutshell, AD-APT® technology is a membrane filled with countless tiny capsules filled with cooling agents like essential oils. As the hand moves, the membranes are triggered through heat to release these agents right on your hand which cools your hand and reduces sweating.
This works in tandem with another of ATG®’s technology, AIRtech®, which circulates air through tunnel structures in the glove’s coating.
If you want to try AD-APT® technology yourself, here at MacMor we carry the MaxiFlex® Ultimate Gloves, but ATG® plans to incorporate the AD-APT® technology on to their other gloves, from general purpose to A6 cut-resistant gloves.

If you’re still not sure what glove is right for you, MacMor offers glove audits to ensure the proper gloves are being used for the application. We partner with some of our vendor reps to work with you to evaluate your specific needs and offer solutions we think will work best within your budget.
